Set Up and Tear Down Crew
Description:
Job Summary
Reports to Crossroads Pavilion Event Coordinator and is responsible for setting up and breaking down all tables, chairs and portable risers used for events at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center. Required to work all hours- days, nights, weekends & holidays. Continued hours of work will be varied.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must possess current, valid driver’s license and a current working telephone with a number that can be accessed by building management personnel for business purposes.

Language Skills:
• Ability to speak and understand English
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to interpret and work from sketches and diagrams
• Ability to deal effectively and courteously with venue patrons, clients and co-workers

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds
• Bending, stooping, standing, walking during a shift period
• Pushing and pulling loaded carts of event support equipment
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat/kneel

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to hot or cold temperatures and elevated noise levels, depending on the nature of a particular event.
Requires the ability to work a varied schedule under diverse conditions and according to sometimes stringent time schedules. Hours worked will vary due to the demands of the event schedule, operational changeovers/conversions and other related activities that are a part of the operation of the venue. The schedule will include a mix of day, night, and weekend hours.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Set up, tear down, moving, and storing of event equipment such as tables, chairs and portable risers for events
• Requires a flexible schedule
• Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Event Coordinator
• Ability to take initiative and work effectively both individually and as part of a team
• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Report any safety or security issues
• Keep the Coordinator informed of incidents requiring action and/or repair
