Iowa Industrial New Jobs Training Program (INJTP-260E)
The INJTP was developed to assist businesses which are creating new positions or new jobs. If the company is expanding operations or locating a new facility, flexible funding can be provided to meet a wide variety of training and employee development needs. Training funds are generated from certificates sold by the Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon. The certificates are repaid by diverting 1.5% of the increase payroll withholding tax revenues resulting from the creation of new jobs.
The City of Sheldon also partners with Northwest Iowa Community College by allowing for the increased property tax revenues resulting from capital improvements to repay INJTP certificates.
