SHELDON PARKS
  1. Hills Park - Hwy. 60 North - 26 Camping facilities with playground.jpg (5763 bytes)water and electrical hook-ups, warm showers, on-site dump station, playground equipment and walking trails available for your enjoyment.  Our fee for an overnight stay is $15 for trailers and motor homes and $10 for tents.  Payments are made right at the park drop box.
  2. City Park - Hwy. 18 & 4th Avenue - Sheldon's City Park provides a four section enclosed shelter house available for rent.  1/4 of the shelter can be reserved for $40. 1/2 cost $50, and full shelter house would cost $80.  All rentals include a $20 deposit which will be returned if the shelter is left in clean orderly condition.  Contact the Sheldon City Offices at (712) 324-4651 for reservation details.

Golf- Sheldon has a 9 hole public golf course. There is a club house available for parties, tournaments, receptions, etc. There is also cart and club rental available. Sanford Wellness Center-Sheldon- The Wellness Center provides professional health assessments and assists in setting appropriate wellness goals. It provides state-of-the-art exercise and strength training equipment, with wheelchair equipment available. Contact, Donna Ihnen, Wellness Center Manager. (712) 324-6151 for more information.

Iowa Great Lakes Region- Sheldon is less than an hour from Iowa's Great Lakes. This area provides year round activities including amusement parks, swimming, fishing, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing.

The Northwest Iowa Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center (LLRC)- is located on the campus of Northwest Iowa Community College one mile west of the City of Sheldon. The facility is available for college students, staff, faculty, and community members to pursue fitness and recreation activities.
