Wanted: STAFF ACCOUNTANT—ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING

Cain Ellsworth & Co., LLP is an established CPA firm located in NW Iowa.  We serve a diverse mix of clients throughout the tri-state area, with concentrated expertise in serving clients in banking, P&C insurance, and closely-held businesses.  We have an immediate need for a staff accountant with 1-3 year’s direct experience in accounting & auditing.  We are focused on supporting your career objectives and professional growth, and at the same time encouraging a balance between your work and personal life.  The candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting and be eligible to sit for and pass the CPA exam.  Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist in the conduct of audit, review and compilation engagements;

• Draft financial statements and footnotes;

• Assist in the review of engagement work papers;

• Prepare corporate, partnership and individual income tax returns, as needed;

• Participate in activities designed to develop and nurture client relationships;

• Work on special projects as required.

We have openings for seasonal tax accountants with direct experience in the preparation of individual and business income tax returns.  Candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience), strong technology skills, and excellent communication and analytical skills.  Candidates will become proficient with pertinent IRC sections and regulations, basic tax research techniques, and preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary and other tax returns prepared by the firm.
